REMAX REAL ESTATE
ReMax, Based in Denver, CO, RE/MAX International is a global real
estate system of franchisee owned and operated offices and their
network of nearly 96,000 independent sales professionals. ReMax of
New York was looking for an out of the box, unique opportunity to
capture the New York Market and really build their brand awareness.
After speaking to several agencies, ReMax approached Power Play
Marketing & Media to come up with a proposal that would 1. Reduce
their spending 2. Build brand awareness through innovative
marketing ideas.
Based on the strategy session with the client, we re-negotiated their
entire media spend as well as negotiated several high profile branding
opportunities in the New York Sports Market. By negotiating their
media spend down by nearly 30% and keeping the same frequency
and reach, we were able to free up cash for a long term deal with the
New York Rangers, New York Yankees and New York Mets.
Successfully increasing ReMax’s Brand Reach and Awareness to the
New York Metro Area.
VONAGE – THE BROADBAND PHONE COMPANY
Vonage retained Power Play Marketing & Media to assist in a
National media launch. Vonage’s primary goal was client acquisition so
the media strategy needed to meet very targeted parameters with a
definitive return on investment. A combination of online and offline media
was employed including a substantial direct response television and radio
campaign. Our primary responsibility was to negotiate direct response
programs with both National and Regional television and radio outlets to
guarantee impressions and sign-ups. With that strategy in mind we were
able to assist Vonage in acquiring almost 2 million subscribers by the
middle of 2006.
In addition to planning and negotiating radio and television for Vonage, we
also assisted in Vonage’s branding initiative in the form of sourcing and
negotiating high profile sports sponsorships in key markets. We helped
develop over two dozen MLB, NFL and NBA team sponsorships all with
signage and promotional marketing components that proved to be integral
in building the Vonage brand.
DIETZ AND WATSON DELI MEATS
Dietz and Watson, one of the country’s premier deli meat purveyors, decided in 2007 they wanted to launch a National radio and television campaign targeting the top 25 media markets. At that time Dietz & Watson did not have representation from a media buying agency. They were presented campaigns by several rep firms as well as directly from tv and radio stations. Power Play Marketing & Media was brought in through a referral from an existing client who had a relationship at Dietz & Watson to examine the current media buy, make appropriate changes and demonstrate significant savings. Through Power Play’s strategic planning and media negotiation, a savings of over $2.5 million dollars was achieved which represented a 27% savings on the total buy.
MARTIN CADILLAC
Martin Cadillac is the #1 Cadillac Dealer in the country. They cover the entire New York Metro Area. Martin was using another agency to buy their media when Power Play presented them with a radio opportunity on a popular New York Sports Station. Martin gave
Power Play a chance to create a unique campaign for them involving a live promotional reads as well as a heavily trafficked media schedule. At the time, Martin was taking a gamble and needed to gain market share over other prominent dealers in the area. This campaign increased phone calls by 30% and took them from averaging 50 cars per month to over 150 cars a month in less than 8 months.
Since then, Martin has used Power Play exclusively for all of their media buys. Power Play continually saves Martin on average of 20% percent a month on their entire media budget as well as delivers consistent results from their creative print, radio, TV and outdoor campaigns. This has allowed Martin Cadillac to become the #1 Cadillac dealer in the country.
